Storm Recovery Navigator service

The Tāmaki Makaurau Recovery Office has put in place a team of Navigators to support residential property owners impacted by the extreme weather events. Navigators provide a free and confidential wrap-around service to:
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance.
- Make sure you have the most up-to date-information, while connecting you to other support agencies like Work and Income, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), and New Zealand Claims Resolution Service (NZCRS)
- Help you to gain access to specialist services like legal advice and budget advice.
- Update you on grant applications/financial assistance available.
- Support you with Housing/tenancy issues/temporary accommodation/resettlement.
- Help you access other social and health services like counselling services and GP services.
You can contact the Navigators by:
- Email navigators@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz and we will get back to you within a few days.
- In-person at one of our drop-in sessions at a community facility near you.
- Phone 09 884 2070.
- Fill in the online form for referral to the Storm Recovery Navigation Service.
