Group Facilitating Training with Fay Lilian
April 12, 2024 at 2:50 PM
Notice from Fay Lilian
Group Facilitation Training delivered as part of a supervision group with Fay Lilian
Five sessions (three-weekly) 10.00am - 12.00pm Wednesdays from 22 May
After many years of providing full-day trainings in group facilitation, I now provide similar information during five supervision group sessions, held on Wednesday mornings, once every three weeks, during the semester. Action methods are used to enhance learning and I’ll facilitate the sharing of our collective wisdom, skills and experimentation.
These training sessions are available to people who have already gained some facilitation skills;
preference is given to those who are currently facilitating a psycho-educational or therapeutic group.
The way we work as facilitators is enhanced when we understand some key concepts, when we see the group as a major resource to us, when we view the group as an entity with predictable impulses. Participants can expect to draw upon their own interests, concerns and experiences to strengthen their ability to recognise learning styles, group life phases, common challenges and possible interventions that might be made. We will consider conscious and unconscious group dynamics, and we may practise processes for developing an equal partnership in co-facilitation.
Sessions: 10.00am – 12.00pm Wednesday
22 May, 12 June, 3 July, 24 July, 14 August 2024
A commitment to all five sessions is appreciated.
Venue:
1/42 Fairlands Ave Waterview. I will text directions. There is off-street parking for one
vehicle which you can reserve – just let me know; otherwise please park on the street.
