This presentation argues that it is time to take the intersection of domestic and family violence and substance abuse seriously. The presenters will discuss the KODY project (Kids First and Odyssey House: advancing cross-sector collaboration between DFV and substance use services). A group work program developed through this project works at the intersection of DFV and substance use and exemplifies a way of addressing the silos in this work. Through a Policy Stakeholder Group with senior managers in government, NGOs and Peak Bodies, the KODY project also explored the language of substance use coercion.
