Child Matters have the following upcoming workshops in the Auckland region:
5-day Child Protection Programme
The 5-day Child Protection Studies Programme is a Level 3 NZQA accredited course and will enhance the skills of those who are involved with children and young people by giving them a deeper understanding and knowledge to be able to take positive action to protect children and young people. The learning is supported by a number of guest speakers including MEDSAC, Lawyer for Child, Oranga Tamariki, the NZ Police and a professional supervisor.
Course Date: 13-17 November 2023 | Location: Central Auckland | Fee: $750+GST per person
1-day Workshop: Identifying and Responding to Vulnerability and Child Abuse
The 1-day Child Protection Training Workshops are short targeted courses designed to provide introductory level information about specific child protection related subjects. The different categories of child abuse are discussed and the participant will gain base level skills, knowledge and confidence to identify and respond to a child who may be at risk.

Every New Zealander should have a basic understanding of the issue of child abuse. This course is a combination of pre-recorded videos and downloadable resources. There are no exams.
