MPHS Community Trust (MPHS) is a responsive, social action, community development organisation that supports the needs of the community through the running of diverse initiatives, projects and programmes which enable residents and communities to reach full potential. We are a leader in community-led development with a reputation as a successful organisation that ‘gets things done’ through a wide variety of innovative approaches. Some of the current initiatives include; the High Tech Youth Studio, an early years programme, environmental restoration initiatives, governance training programmes for community groups, the My Back-Yard Garden project, a recycling and ‘upcycle’ social enterprise, and the management of a high-use community facility.
The purpose of the role is to lead MPHS into the next phase of its organisational development as we continue to expand our services to those communities in need by building on our successes and in working collaboratively with others. In short, you will develop new ventures and strengthen existing partnerships and initiatives.
Here is the opportunity to make a real difference in our communities with a very wide brief to develop services through:
- Managing and strengthening existing relationships and establishing new partnerships
- Profiling the organisation with communications and marketing initiatives
- Leading our dedicated and diverse team of staff, volunteers and contractors
- Using proven management skills to enhance organisational and financial performance
- Effective assessment of community needs and facilitating the establishment of networks
- Working effectively with our progressive Board to set the strategy and direction for the organisation
This is a critical leadership role that will help shape the future direction of the organisation.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced senior leader, who can demonstrate strong staff team management skills. You will have strong strategic capability and the capacity to form inspiring and productive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Location: Hub West, 29 Corban Ave, Henderson, Auckland.
