Community Open Door Day at Hoani Waititi Marae
Nāu mai, haere mai ki tēnei rā tūwheratanga o ngā tatau ki tō mātou taha ko Hōani Waititi Marae, ko Community Waitakere. You are warmly invited to come along to our Community Open Door Day hosted by Hōani Waititi Marae and Community Waitakere on Thursday 12 November.
- Pōwhiri 9.30am, traditional welcome onto the marae
Opportunity for your organisation to be formally welcomed onto the marae, and experience pōwhiri protocol
(If you have been formally welcomed onto the marae please meet at the wharekai (dining room) on the marae at 9.15am and you will join everyone in the house for the pōwhiri. - History of Hōani Waititi Marae 10.00am
(What the marae has to offer and contribute to the community) - Whakawhānaunga/whakatākina, introductions
(Opportunity to introduce yourself and your organisation) - Paramanawa 10.45am, morning tea
(Further opportunity to make links/network) - Empowered Community Approach update and an added extra information on the Maori Responsiveness Framework – and how this connects with ECA 11.00am
