Primary prevention of sexual and intimate partner violence can be a complex field filled with technical language, jargon, and acronyms. At the core, though, it means stopping violence before it ever has a chance to happen.
This web conference will go back to basics and provide a foundation for understanding the importance of creating environments where violence is less likely to happen, examples of prevention in the real world, and key resources to expand prevention knowledge. Join PreventConnect as they explore in plain language what it means to prevent violence in the first place.
OBJECTIVES:
- Define primary prevention
- Describe how environments influence behavior
- Describe examples of prevention in the real world
- Identify resources to expand prevention knowledge
HOSTS/FACILITATORS:
- Ashleigh Klein-Jimenez
- Janae Sargent
