An ongoing duty to care: Responding to survivors of family violence homicide
March 10, 2023 at 2:41 PM
From the Health Quality & Safety Commission New Zealand - https://www.hqsc.govt.nz/resources/resource-library/an-ongoing-duty-to-care/
This eighth report builds on the Family Violence Death Review Committee’s seventh report, which challenged us all, as a society, to reflect on and keep questioning how we demonstrate our care for one another.
It illustrates the ripples that are created from a homicide event by drawing on experiences that have been shared with the Committee through in-depth reviews.
It also clearly documents the lived experiences associated with the lack of support available for survivors of a family violence homicide, and the gaps that exist within financial and social support systems.
