WAVES staff provide reviews and summaries of academic literature on topics of interest to the network as a way of disseminating new learnings from academia to service providers.

Children and Family Violence
A review of recent literature on children as witnesses to Family Violence, discussing the effects on children’s development, illuminating the factors that build children’s resilience and outlining types of interventions that help to support children’s resilience.

Family Violence and Ethnic Communities
A review of recent literature and information from social work practitioners examining how Family Violence affects ethnic communities in Waitakere and identifying key themes as triggers or enablers of family violence in these communities
