The Asian Network Inc. (TANI) cordially invite you to their General Network meeting on Wednesday 27th of August.
Topic: Hope and recovery in Asian Mental health
When: 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, Wednesday 27 August 2014
Where: Western Springs Garden Community Hall
956 Great North Road, Western Springs
Program:
- A round of introductions and networking from participants (tea & coffee available from 9:30am)
- Presentation 1: “Asian people’s experiences and views of Mental Health Service”, Liz Stewart, researcher, CM Health & Christine Yang Dong, research and clinical engagement manager, Lifeline, will present their rare findings of research on Asian clients with mental health issues in terms of what they experienced and what they expects the service to be.
- Presentation 2: “How do you find Hope and what it means? ”, Andrew Lu, Recovery Services leader, Recovery Innovations of New Zealand, will share his journey to the recovery and personal experience how to bring back the hope to the life and what makes it work.
- Update on community news: Any changes or new information from organizations, upcoming events, workshops, seminars and so on.
- Building more Network with Refreshments
Asian style refreshment and drinks will be provided.
