Launch of Safe Spaces on the North Shore
May 22, 2014 at 9:56 AM
Tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day, and to celebrate North Shore Family Violence Prevention Network in conjunction with North Shore Community and Social Services are launching some great initiatives to create safe spaces for young people in their community.
The Stand By Me Safe Spaces (just behind the main counter in the Orewa Library, and just past the main counter at the Glenfeild Leisure Centre) are areas that you (our young people) can get information and support for any issues that you may be having (including bullying).
Stand By Me Safe Space at Orewa Library:
An experienced person to help you will be present after school between 3.30 and 4.30. However you can access information or ask for help at the Orewa Library at anytime during opening hours.
Read about the launch (including free cupcakes mmm here)
Stand By Me Safe Space at Active Zone, Glenfield Leisure Centre
You can make for an appointment to speak to an experienced person. However you can also access information or ask for help at the Glenfield Leisure Centre at anytime during opening hours.
Read about the launch disco here.
