To support Whāngaia Nga Pa Harakeke and the ‘Safety Assessment Meeting’ process by working alongside internal and external partners as a lead advocate for positive systemic change.  Utilizing the principles of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga & rangatiratanga to underpin the ways of working with external agencies and services providers.

What you will need to have: 

  • Knowledge of te reo me ona tikanga is desirable.
  • An excellent communicator who can collaborate and remove barriers to get services and resources to the community.
  • An individual who is passionate about working for their community and is focused on improving the lives of whanau and tamariki.
  • Knowledge of and relationships with local non-government organisations that specialise in family harm intervention.
  • Established relationships and networks with sector providers and government agencies.
  • Experienced networker with an ability to build and utilise community resources.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with others.
  • Ability to apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989.
