FREE Child Matters Child Protection Workshop
When: Wednesday 6th July 2016
Time: 9am - 4pm
Venue: Glendene Community Hub, 82 Hepburn Road (Cnr Phelps Place) Glendene.
As part of our commitment to supporting best practice when working with children and their families WAVES Trust in partnership with Auckland Council are pleased to offer a FREE Child Matters Child Protection workshop in Waitakere on the 6th of July.
This workshop focuses on understanding the concept of vulnerability and explores factors that contribute to vulnerability, risk and child abuse. It provides participants with information about what to do when they are concerned about the welfare of a child or young person and identify support and help that is available. Participants will gain the knowledge and tools to be able to identify when children or young people are at risk and confidently take action to promote their safety and wellbeing.
As places are limited we will be accepting a maximum of two registrations per organisation. If you have more staff that would like to attend please let us know and we will offer any unfilled spots closer to the workshop.
Please see the attached flyer for more infomation.
If you would like to register, please email charlotte@waves.org.nz with your name, email details and any dietary requirements you have.
Please note that there will be no WeCAN Network on this date due to the workshop.
