A workshop on recognising and responding to the commercialised sexual exploitation of children and young people in Aotearoa.
This is general training for anyone working with children and young people who may be victims or survivors of commercial sexual exploitation.
About this event: How to understand, recognise, and respond appropriately to children and young people who are victims and survivors of commercial sexual exploitation.
Topics include commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) definition, what this looks like in Aotearoa, online exploitation, barriers to disclosure, and how sexual exploitation affects children and young people.
Child Alert's 2022 workshops are being presented by Claire Larsen. Claire has worked extensively with victims and survivors of sexual violence as a frontline crisis support worker and brings a wealth of knowledge with her to the workshops.
Find other workshops online (26 July, evening) or held in-person (13 July, Auckland) & 20 July (Hamilton).
