You can read the media analysis of the Northland Police statistics here.
The Northland Police think attribute Parker's sex crimes numbers to the higher rates in Northland bucking the downward national trend of the crime rates. PArker is serving preventive detention.
Notably, however, sexual assaults and domestic violence increased nationwide.
