Program
· A round of introductions and networking – All participants (tea & coffee available from 9:30am)
· Presentations
· Families and Whānau 2016: The report focused on ethnic differences on the wellbeing of families and Whanau in New Zealand. Key findings will be shared by Families Commissions including the status of Asian Families living in NZ.
· Asian Health in Aotearoa in 2011-2013, highlights from this report will be shared by Prof. Robert Scragg, The University of Auckland. The presentation will include the findings of the health status of Asian New Zealanders.
· Family violence data summaries 2016: Nicola Paton, Manager/Community Leader, New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse, will present the latest family violence data/statistics (including for Asian communities where available), and let you know how you can use the Clearinghouse in your work. The Clearinghouse (nzfvc.org.nz), is your national centre for family and whānau violence research and information.
· Update on community news: Any changes or new information from organizations, upcoming events, workshops, seminars and more.
· Building more networks & connections with refreshments !
