September 10, 2021 at 3:19 PM

From Te Rau Ora

Today Te Rau Ora and The Centre for Māori Suicide Prevention release the Manaaki Ora app, a self-help wellbeing app to support individuals and whānau to know what to do if they’re concerned with someone’s mental or emotional wellbeing. A timely launch with many whānau and individuals beginning to feel the effects of the recent and current snap level four lockdown.

The free Manaaki Ora app is designed to provide guidance and tips on how to self-help, or support others who might be going through hard times or distress. Individuals and whānau can find creative, simple and innovative activities to build wellbeing and resilience. This includes helping whānau identity their feelings and when they feel overwhelmed, where to get support and tips on how to support others.
