This training is your starting point on your safeguarding and child protection learning journey. It would also serve as a good refresher as it is an introduction to the essentials of safeguarding and child protection.

Register for this event

You will gain an understanding of the impact of child abuse and neglect, along with the knowledge of what you can do to prevent and minimise the risk of harm to tamariki and rangatahi. You will gain confidence in the actions you need to take when you are worried about a child or young person. This knowledge is essential for everyone who works with our tamariki and rangatahi.

Safeguarding Children also have tailored options of the Safeguarding and Child Protection training for the following sectors: Youth, School, Early Childhood Education, Primary Care, OSCAR, Social Service Providers.
