Jeffrey's thesis explores how individuals think and feel about the assistance they received from community support projects in New Zealand. A community support project is defined in this research as any project that is designed to try and improve the well-being of community members. Some examples would be projects focused on: family education and support, violence prevention, addictions, shelter and accommodations, debris clearing following a natural disaster, refugee services, elderly support, etc.
