Oranga Tamariki Survey for the New Information Sharing Provisions

March 06, 2020 at 2:22 PM

From Oranga Tamariki

A new legislation came in to force on 1 July 2019 to allow greater information sharing under the Family Violence Act 2018 and Oranga Tamariki Act 1989.

The Ministry of Justice and the Ministry for Children–Oranga Tamariki have created a guidance online to support family violence, child welfare, protection sectors and government agencies affected by these changes.

The survey is being run by Synergia, an independent research and evaluation company commissioned by Oranga Tamariki to evaluate the information sharing legislation changes. This survey aims to gain insight into the current level of understanding and use of the new information sharing provisions across the family violence and child welfare and protection sectors.
