New Gambling Support Group in Waitakere
The Salvation Army Oasis is a free support service for gamblers and their whanau in Waitakere. Our aim is to reduce the harm caused by gambling through helping our clients and their families set goals, identify triggers, develop coping strategies and communication skills, learn helpful tools, and practice self-care.
A weekly support group is now available for gamblers in Waitakere. Held on Monday evenings 6.30-8pm at our Glendene site, gamblers in recovery will be able to receive support and advice from peers, facilitated by a trained counsellor.
If you, or someone you know are interested in joining the group, please call 09 638 0801 or 0800 53 00 00.
