A note from Claire at ECPAT:
Thank you to those who attended the recent training from ECPAT Child Alert on ending the commercial sexual exploitation of children and young people in Aotearoa. In 2022 ECPAT Child Alert has funding to offer introductory workshops aimed at helping frontline workers to recognise and respond to the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Topics include what commercial sexual exploitation of children looks like in Aotearoa, survival sex, grooming, online exploitation, risk factors, barriers to disclosure and identification, how sexual exploitation affects children and young people, trauma informed practice, and the current legislative framework. Please get in touch with Claire to discuss the options for tailored in-house trainings for your team, or see their website for upcoming public trainings.
