MoH Consulting NGOs on Child Protection Policies

November 06, 2014 at 11:07 AM

The NGO Council of the NGO Health and Disability Network is assisting the Ministry of Health with two consultations relating to the Vulnerable Children Act and Children's Action Plan.

The two consultations are on:

  1. The requirement that organisations conduct standardised Safety Checks for children's workers; and
  2. The requirements that organisations providing children's services develop and adopt Child Protection Policies.

As part of this process, the Secretariat is distributing the Ministry's information and collating responses from health and disability NGOs, which will be passed on to the Ministry for consideration.

The deadline for the consultations are 10 November and 25 November 2014 respectively.

To obtain the relevant documents and participate in the consultation, please email the NGO Health and Disability Network or telephone them on (03) 260-0893.
