AMINZ warns that operating Family Disputes Resolution services in a vacuum can backfire. Families are expected to mediate their cases in the reformed Family Court. Without legal advice and counselling however the new emphasis can end up costing 'more for the state' and 'turn the negative social ripples into full-fledged waves.'
