Love Hendo – A series of events to activate Henderson Town Centre

March 08, 2019 at 10:58 AM

From Love Hendo - posted on the Community Waitakere Noticeboard

We’re changing up our local community event Love Hendo again this year, in a bid to reach more of the community. We’re moving to a new space in front of the Henderson Library beside UNITEC’s Henderson campus, around about 3 Ratanui St, Henderson 0612 (https://goo.gl/maps/XZ1ygZcjX282).

As it was last year, we’ve carved Love Hendo up into four days, and plan to offer one or two hands-on arts workshops between 11.30am – 2pm over the last four Friday’s of the month. That’s Friday’s 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th March 2019.

Based at a new location in front of Gloria Jean coffee shop, Henderson central library and UNITEC’s Henderson campus, Love Hendo is a free all ages event focussed on engaging the local Henderson community through arts workshops.
These activations aim at bringing some positive vibes and connection to those who frequent the Henderson Town Centre and are a part of the daily Henderson community, through shared making and interaction.

We will be running 4 Love Hendo events on each of the last four Friday’s in March 2019, from 11.30am – 2pm. There will be two arts workshops or activities offered on each Friday. The dates we’ll be offering these activities will be 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th March.
