Job Vacancy at WEST - Manager
March 30, 2017 at 3:38 PM
Manager - WEST
Permanent, 25-30 hours per week.
If you have strong business acumen and a passion for the development of your community – have we got the perfect position for you!
WEST is an independent, not-for-profit organisation with a long history of involvement in the West Auckland community. The organisation provides skills and training to improve employability and supports initiatives to develop enterprising communities where local residents, community groups, local bodies and businesses contribute to and benefit from their local economy.
We are entering a busy, new era of development with a focus on initiatives like WEST Means Business, a subsidiary that supports small business development in West and North West Auckland with networking and training.
As the Manager, you will be primarily responsible for driving WEST’s initiatives forward through the implementation of our strategic plan, leading a small team of staff and contractors and managing all key stakeholder relationships. You will be the stable core of our operation, with responsibility for liaison with the governance board, reporting to the local council boards and other funders.
To be successful in this position you will:
- Have a keen eye for business
- Demonstrate strong facilitation skills
- Have the ability to influence others
- Nurture and extend relationships with stakeholders at a senior level across a variety of sectors
- Build strategies to actively generate funds
- Demonstrate management experience and be comfortable engaging in the not-for-profit sector, recognising that small workplaces require everyone to multi-task.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join an organisation that is striving to be a leader in social economic development.
If you have the relevant qualifications and/or experience, place your application by uploading your CV and Cover Letter at https://visionary-hr-solutions.workable.com/jobs/453451
