This 40 hour per week family violence position, based in West Auckland, is a special opportunity and requires a person looking for an exceptional opportunity to really use all their social worker skills.
The role will require you to provide crisis intervention support to Pacific families experiencing family violence in West Auckland. Working to enhance the effectiveness of the family violence services provided to Pacific families. It involves coordinating inter-agency relationships with key organisations specialising in family violence and transitioning families to other services to provide on going support needs.
Key Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of the challenges involved in family violence
- Suitable social worker experience and qualifications
- Ability to build trust and respect
- Communication skills - particularly with Pacific men
- Resilience and ability to manage stressful situations
- Drivers licence
