It is with great sadness that we share with you all that our beloved E Tū Whānau rangatira, Ann Dysart, passed away peacefully yesterday surrounded by her whānau and friends, cloaked in aroha and waiata. Ann was an extraordinary Te Rarawa wāhine toa – she touched the hearts and changed the lives of so many.
We acknowledge with great love her tireless commitment and passion to champion the voices of those who struggle to be heard. And we celebrate the courage and determination that Ann brought to everything that she did. Our mana wāhine was a fearless kahukura – a great leader of our time.
Ann remains forever in our hearts and her legacy, E Tū Whānau, strengthens us all and will carry us forward to enrich our tamariki, mokopuna and future generations.
We extend our deep love and support to Ann’s whānau.
Te mana kaha o te whānau!
