ECLIPSE - Specialist Family Violence Training - October 2021
October 08, 2021 at 5:03 PM
Firstly, we would like to acknowledge the incredible work the sector has done in coming together to address the challenges that a COVID lockdown presents, and of course acknowledge the increase in risk and harm that is occurring for our whānau who are living with the realities of family violence every day.
We, like many others, reached out to provide support where we could, and also found ourselves in a position of having to rapidly diversify, but we managed to rise to the challenge, and have had a month of extreme success with both private and public online trainings delivered
So far, we have proudly trained dozens of amazing, diverse, dedicated and driven staff from across the motu. They have come from Family Violence Collectives, Refuges, Oranga Tamariki, Ministry of Justice, Police, Victim Support, Specialist Family Violence Response organisations, Shine, Age Concern, ADHB social workers, Private counsellors, Restorative Justice, Plunket, Community Development organisations, Mental Health providers, Doctors/GP’s and the list goes on.
Of course, we have also provided private training workshops, and continue to work with individual organisations to create tailor made training packages to target identified organisational development needs.
We have had nothing but exceptional feedback on the real and raw content, the enjoyable atmosphere, the capability and knowledge of the trainer, as well as the relevance of the training and the measurable increase in the knowledge of participants.
