Shakti Family Centre invites you to a half day conference with guest speakers:
Mayor Phil Goff, MP Louisa Wall, University of Auckland Sociology lecturer David Mayeda, Shail Kaushal and more.
There will be guest speakers in the morning, followed by a presentation from Shakti Youth at Papatoetoe High School and a sneak preview of a new resource created for migrant and refugee youth facing family violence. Concurrent workshops will be happening in the afternoon on:
- The law and family violence
- Men stopping violence against women
- Youth and family violence
This is a free community event to mark White Ribbon month.
