Our New Graduate Support Programme will support you, as a newly qualified tauwhiro/social worker, during your first year of your social work career. It’s designed to provide you additional learning and support as you transition into everyday practice. We use a tuakana-teina approach, where our more experienced tauwhiro mentor our newly qualified tauwhiro. 

We’ll connect you with other new graduates and experienced social worker mentors. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with your group at your monthly mentoring hui. Most of these will be online. By taking part in our New Graduate Support Programme, you will:
