Active Citizens Social Leadership Programme
September 18, 2020 at 12:27 PM
From Te Manawa Library & Community Hub
The global Active Citizens Social Leadership Programme is coming to West Auckland!
We are living in uncertain times but one thing is certain, more people in our communities are needing help and support. Our communities are looking for ways to come together and be stronger, more connected and grow resilience to help cope with this uncertainty.
- Do you have an idea that you would like to grow with the right guidance?
- Are you currently applying for funding for a solution to a community need and need help developing the idea for your application?
- Are you an aspiring community leader looking to build your skills and knowledge?
Developed by the British Council and run by SPLICE, attending this 3-day workshop will teach you self-awareness and identity, discuss local and global issues, and develop the skills needed to grow community-led social development and develop social action plans.
Active Citizens helps aspiring social leaders to take the next step by giving them the knowledge, skills and experience to solve community issues and become creative change agents in their communities. The programme is run in 70+ countries around the world and also provides a great opportunity to join a global network of changemakers!
Active Citizens Social Leadership Programme is FREE and proudly hosted by Te Manawa.
The programme will run on consecutive Saturdays - 3rd, 10th and 17th October 2020 (subject to Covid-19 Alert Levels) at Te Manawa Library & Community Hub, Massey.
